Red Danish Christmas Tree Candles

Since the 1700's, Scandinavians have used little candles such as these to light up their Christmas trees.

Because of the cost of candles in those days, and due to concerns about fire safety, the candles were lit only once, on Christmas Eve. Some Scandinavian homes carry on this tradition up to this day, though it is not common in America. You will find many festive uses for these small candles, and they make excellent replacement candles for your Angel Chimes.
